90% of brain development happens by age 5 — which makes early education essential. SCAN is closing the gap by supporting policies that create affordable, accessible learning opportunities. We also advocate for child care workers, ensuring they’re well-trained and fairly paid.

Millions of parents are struggling to afford food, rent and other essentials, putting kids at risk of hunger, homelessness and learning loss.
Head Start is one of our nation’s most vital programs providing high-quality child care to 750,000 kids. We need Congress to step up for Head Start. Urge your lawmakers to take action today!
