Our Family Engagement Program offers training, flexibility, leadership development, and networking opportunities. To facilitate your participation, SCAN has funding available to help cover childcare and transportation costs related to many program activities.
Guided by their lived experiences, parents and caregivers are making change for kids! In 2023, advocates like you helped SCAN reach more than 7,000 caregivers, recruited 575 volunteers, and helped to reach hundreds of lawmakers.

Marisol Diaz (She/Her)
Senior Advisor for Family Engagement
Since 2021, Marisol has brought more than a decade of leadership in project management, coalition building, and development strategy to Save the Children Action Network (SCAN), with experience guiding national teams and shaping program implementation. Her work includes strategic program development, large-scale resource design and adaptation, and advancing linguistic and cultural access across diverse communities.
Recognized nationally for delivering strong community-level outcomes through evidence-based and participatory methods, Marisol also brings binational board service and academic training in cultural anthropology. A native New Mexican and three-time graduate of New Mexico State University, she applies her expertise to ensure programs are contextually grounded, linguistically accessible, and community-drive.
Annalise Romoser (She/Her)
Sr. Director for Partnerships and Family Engagement
Annalise Romoser brings nearly 20 years of grassroots, advocacy, and campaign experience to her role of Sr. Director for Partnerships and Family Engagement at Save the Children Action Network (SCAN).
Annalise has been with SCAN since 2017, leading the organization’s campaign efforts in Colorado to secure new investments in early learning and child nutrition. Before joining SCAN, Annalise served as Latin America Program Manager, Forest Campaigns, at the Environmental Investigation Agency, Director for Public Policy and Advocacy at Lutheran World Relief, and as Senior Associate at the U.S. Office on Colombia.
