CONCORD, NH (November 7, 2024) – Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) – the political voice for kids – applauds the election of Pat Long (D – Senate District 20) and reelection of Senators David Watters (D – Senate District 4), Denise Ricciardi (R – Senate District 9) and Sharon Carson (R – Senate District 14) – proven champions for children in New Hampshire.

Megan Brabec, New Hampshire state manager for SCAN, said: “These victories demonstrate the strength of Save the Children Action Network’s mobilization efforts across New Hampshire in support of Pat Long and Senators Watters, Ricciardi and Carson. New Hampshire voters sent a clear message that improving access to quality early childhood education and combating child hunger represent critical priorities deserving of continued progress when the legislature reconvenes in January. We look forward to working with these newly reelected lawmakers to deliver results for kids and families across the Granite State.”

SCAN activated a successful multi-faceted effort in support of the bipartisan slate of legislators that reached more than 181,00 voters through a mix of digital ads (spend of $85,000) and a strategic direct voter contact program including text banking, door knocking, phone calls and handwritten postcards. SCAN also directly contributed $2,000 each to the campaign of Senator Ricciardi, and $500 each to the campaigns of Senators Watters and Carson.
