Affordable child care is essential

Get Involved > Campaigns

Every child deserves a chance and Congress Must Act

Every child deserves a strong start in life. But right now, too many families are struggling to find child care they can afford, and too many providers are stretched thin trying to meet growing demand.

The Child Care Modernization Act (CCMA) is a bipartisan proposal to help fix this. It strengthens the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG), the main federal program that helps families access child care, so it better meets the needs of today’s children, parents, and communities.

The Child Care Modernization Act would:

  • Expand access to affordable child care
  • Improve the quality and availability of care
  • Support the child care workforce
  • Help parents work and support their families

Child care isn’t just a personal challenge. It’s a national one. When families can access reliable care, children thrive, parents can work, and communities grow stronger.

Congress has an opportunity to act now, but they need to hear from us.

Tell Congress: PASS THE CHILD CARE MODERNIZATION ACT

Across the country, people are speaking up for children and families. Join them. Investing in children is investing in our future.

INVEST IN KIDS: INVEST IN AMERICA

Childcare is the backbone of our economy

Every $1 invested in early childhood programs returns up to $13 in economic benefits through higher earnings, better health, and reduced public spending.

Every child deserves a stong start and our nation depends on it

90% of brain development happens before age 5. Early learning builds the foundation for lifelong success.

PARENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE

Parents can’t work without affordable, reliable care—and employers can’t thrive without working parents.
