Join other volunteers and learn to craft your story and write LTEs. Learn about Seattle’s FEPP Levy. Light Refreshments will be provided. Bring a friend.

Appropriations are underway in Congress and your representatives need to hear that you want them to fund programs for kids! Join us to learn how to write an effective Letter to the Editor that will catch your representative’s eye and get published in your local paper.

October 16 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm EDT

Help us get petition signatures in support of WIC and Food for Peace – critical programs for combatting childhood hunger here and around the world. We’ll start with a quick textbanking training and then dive right in to texting other SCAN advocates to take action!

Join us for a screening of the documentary film No Small Matter and a short Q&A afterwards!

We’ll share updates, upcoming opportunities, and ways to stay involved in advocacy for children and families across the state. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or new to the team, this is a space to connect, strategize, and take action together.

Early educators, parents, community members, and lawmakers– join SCAN and partners (including STRONG ACC, YWCA, AACEE, and EO) for screenings of the impactful documentary, No Small Matter. The film will be followed by an engaging panel discussion with local stakeholders and decision makers to address how we can make real changes in accessibility, quality, and affordability of early education.
