Save the Children Action Network Praises Passage of Constitutional Amendment 1, A Landmark Investment in High-Quality Early Care & Education for New Mexico Kids & Families

November 8, 2022 – Save the Children Action Network, the leading political voice for children, released the following statement on passage of Constitutional Amendment 1 in New Mexico.

“New Mexico voters have made it clear: the strongest investment we can make is in our youngest children. Save the Children Action Network, on behalf of the nearly 5,000 parents, grandparents, early educators and community members that make up our statewide grassroots network, is thrilled about this historic victory. It’s hard to overstate the impact tonight’s vote will have for generations to come,” said Lacey Daniell-Miller, New Mexico state manager for Save the Children Action Network.

Save the Children Action Network was pleased to be a statewide partner with the “Vote Yes for Kids!” campaign coalition, working to ensure passage of the ballot initiative. In addition to mobilizing voters with a $150,000 targeted digital ad campaign, SCAN also contributed $50,000 to the Vote Yet for Kids! Campaign and led a robust advertising campaign that effectively targeted 375,000 New Mexico voters.
