Save the Children Action Network Launches “Have a Heart” Campaign to Support the Children’s Act for Child Care Modernization 

WASHINGTON — Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) today announced the launch of its “Have a Heart” campaign, an annual nationwide effort that mobilizes advocates across the country urging lawmakers to prioritize children in federal and state budgets. This year we are calling on Congress to support the Children’s Act for Child Care Modernization — critical legislation to strengthen access to affordable, high-quality early learning and care for families across the country. 

Every child deserves a strong start in life, and that begins with access to safe, nurturing, and affordable childcare; yet, millions of families face rising costs, long waitlists, and a workforce stretched to its limits. The Have a Heart campaign highlights these challenges and urges communities and policymakers alike to take bold action for America’s children. 

“This campaign is about standing up for the heart of our communities — the children, parents, and educators who make early learning possible,” said Savannah Fox, Managing Director National Campaigns at Save the Children Action Network. “We’re calling on Congress to pass the Children’s Act for Child Care Modernization and give every child the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.” 

The campaign will include a series of digital actions, community events, and storytelling initiatives across the country, engaging families, educators, and advocates to share why child care investments matter. SCAN supporters and partners are invited to join the campaign by contacting their lawmakers and amplifying the call for sustainable federal investments in early learning.

Save the Children Action Network lanza la campaña “Muestra amor por los niños” para apoyar la Ley de modernización del cuidado infantil  

WASHINGTON — Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) anunció hoy el lanzamiento de su campaña “Muestra amor por los niños”, una iniciativa nacional anual que moviliza a defensores de derechos de todo el país e insta a los legisladores a priorizar a la infancia en los presupuestos federales y estatales. Este año, instamos al Congreso a apoyar la Ley de modernización del cuidado infantil, una legislación crucial para fortalecer el acceso a un aprendizaje y cuidado infantil temprano asequibles y de alta calidad para las familias de todo el país.  

Todos los niños merecen un buen comienzo en la vida, y eso comienza con el acceso a un cuidado infantil seguro, enriquecedor y asequible. Sin embargo, millones de familias enfrentan costos crecientes, largas listas de espera y una fuerza laboral al límite de sus posibilidades. La campaña “Muestra amor por los niños” destaca estos desafíos e insta tanto a las comunidades como a los legisladores a tomar medidas contundentes para la infancia estadounidense.  

“Esta campaña busca defender la esencia de nuestras comunidades: los niños, las familias y los educadores que hacen posible el aprendizaje temprano”, declaró Savannah Fox, Directora General de Campañas Nacionales de Save the Children Action Network. “Exigimos al Congreso que apruebe la Ley de la modernización del cuidado infantil y que brinde a cada niño la oportunidad de aprender, crecer y prosperar”.  

La campaña incluirá una serie de acciones digitales, eventos comunitarios e iniciativas de narración de historias en todo el país, involucrando a familias, educadores y defensores para compartir la importancia de las inversiones en cuidado infantil.
