WASHINGTON, DC (November 20, 2023) – Save the Children Action Network Victory Fund (SCANVF), a leading political voice for kids, celebrates the election victories of two endorsed candidates in the Louisiana Legislature who have shown their commitment to advancing the well-being of children and families across the state. The candidates, Rep. Barbara Freiberg (LA House – District 70) and John Wyble (LA House – District 75) have won their elections with a shared focus on early childhood education and nutrition.
“These election victories reflect the importance Louisiana voters place on ensuring children have access to early learning and nutrition. Representative Barbara Freiberg (LA House – District 70) is known for her dedication to children in Louisiana and is committed to expanding access to high-quality early care and education programs for all children from birth through age four.
John Wyble (LA House – District 75) supports vital food assistance programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC). Additionally, he is a proven champion of early childhood education, particularly emphasizing literacy.
