We’re Empowering Idahoans to Be the Voice for Kids
Idaho citizens overwhelmingly support investing in our kids, and especially early education.
This is key because research shows the first five years of children’s lives are critically important for their development.
The groups joining together to sponsor the luncheon, all of which have active chapters in Boise, included Oxfam, Save the Children Action Network, Bread for the World, CARE USA, and the One Campaign.
Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) is a bipartisan child advocacy group spanning more than 30 states in the U.S., but it was the recently established Idaho chapter that was singled out with an award at this year’s Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C.

Ryan joined Save the Children Action Network in 2016 as the Washington State Mobilization Manager. He now oversees our state and national campaigns in the western states. Previously, Ryan served as the Washington State Director of Working America, the National Organizer and Lobbyist for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, and Social Justice Organizer at the University of San Francisco. He also taught in a rural orphanage in Honduras for two and a half years and has experience managing regional and national staff on education, immigration, and social justice issues.
