Virtual Documentary Screening of Paper Children Exclusively for SCAN Student Ambassadors and Student Club Members in SC.

South Carolina State House (map)

February 12, 2021 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC-5

Children deserve to be safe and treated humanely – no matter where they are from. Children seeking asylum in our country are no exception.

Take action by joining Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) for an exclusive South Carolina student virtual screening of the documentary Paper Children.

We will gather online to learn about a family that fled violence in Honduras, and their daunting experience with the U.S. asylum system.

We will be joined by Santiago Mueckay, SCAN Government Relations Manager, for a post-screening discussion and group advocacy action.

This eye-opening documentary explores the invisible refugee crisis in the United States through the eyes of a Honduran family navigating the U.S. asylum system with unwavering resilience.
