Wednesday Wisdom from Senator John McCain and Senator Tim Kaine on how foreign aid save lives

Today, 80% of U.S. humanitarian assistance provides relief and promotes stability in conflict zones and states on the verge of collapse. From supporting refugees to providing treatment services to children with illnesses, these desperately needed assistance programs give relief to many innocent people around the globe who are suffering.

As Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) write in POLITICO, if these programs aren’t funded, not only do we put lives abroad at risk, but we also put our nation in danger too.

We can’t let Congress make the mistake of cutting these effective programs.

Urge Congress to protect live-saving programs.
