At the Democratic National Convention, learning about kids’ issues and having some fun along the way

When we went to the Democratic National Convention this week, we had one goal: to raise awareness about kids’ issues.

My teacher inspired our class with the idea of “carrying the torch.” He is referring to us, the new generation of adults, bringing change.

From virtual reality to a petition to the presidential candidates, we’re bringing kids’ issues to the stage in Cleveland.

Save the Children’s program in Kentucky confirms the importance of empowering mothers and communities. We can all play a role in achieving this.

“My children often feel hungry. My husband looks after animals, and I look after the children and try and find food. It is hard.”

“There are some natural born teachers, I am sure. But most highly effective teachers are created.”
