Invest in early childhood programs
As a parent and early educator for the past 10 years, I want what is best for not only my children but all children. I want to give them a strong start to life by providing them with the tools and resources to help them learn and grow. That is why I’m encouraging our state leaders (Sen. Moran, Sen. Roberts and Rep. Watkins) to invest in high-quality early childhood programs, such as child care, which helps children thrive.
Research shows that quality child care is critical because most of a child’s brain develops during the first five years of their life. When children spend their days in a stimulating educational environment, they are better prepared for kindergarten. By investing from the start, we are setting our children up for success in the future. This is especially true for children living in poverty!
