I am an early learning education specialist with more than 30 years of experience. I am also a Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) volunteer. In these roles, I witness the importance of early childhood education and care. I also see how many families in our state cannot find quality, affordable child care for their babies and children.
This is why I testified recently before the Colorado General Assembly’s House Education Committee in favor of Supports for Early Childhood Educator Workforce bill (HB20-1053). This bill sets out to help bring more early education professionals into early learning settings. It makes becoming a qualified, credentialed early education professional possible for more people interested in this field.
