The Union Leader published a report on a forum regarding adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and new studies showing that Granite Staters who experienced ACEs continue to feel their negative health impact as adults. I’d like to thank Senator Shaheen and Senator Hassan for attending the event and joining the call-to-action to invest in early childhood education to mitigate ACEs for all kids.
According to a recent study, 45% of New Hampshire children live in low income households. Those kids are at-risk of compromised development due to low family resources and related stressors during their most formative years of life.
