A Grand Junction mom pushes Washington to pump cash into early education gaps at home, and across the country.

Lacy Hildebrand said daycare providers in Mesa county only have spots for one out of every four children that need a space. The Program Assistant with Mesa Country Partnership for Children and Families spent the day on Capitol Hill meeting with the staffs of Colorado’s U.S. lawmakers. She’s asking them to support a bill aimed at increasing early education options – especially in rural areas.
