Bruton: Let’s rid state of ‘child care deserts’

These days it feels like examples of compromise and collaboration in Washington, D.C., are few and far between, so when Republicans and Democrats are willing to come together it’s important to take notice.

Recently, members of Congress in both chambers took on one of the biggest issues impacting the most vulnerable in our society: children. The renewed willingness in Congress to address the increasing costs and demand for child care facing working families should be encouraging for the people of South Carolina.
