Home Actions End the Dangerous “Remain in Mexico” Policy that Harms Children

The Trump administration’s dangerous and illegal Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) – also known as “Remain in Mexico” – has displaced thousands of asylum seekers fleeing violence in their home countries to dangerous Mexican cities as they await a hearing on their cases in the U.S. Children are being kidnapped. Families are being robbed. Parents are being killed.

Congress can end this policy by defunding it. Send a message to your members of Congress today asking them to end the “Remain in Mexico” policy and protect the rights of asylum seekers.

  • Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) was created in 2014 as the political advocacy arm of Save the Children, to be the political voice for kids. We work to ensure that the issues critical to children’s lives and futures are given top priority by our elected leaders, building bipartisan support to make sure every child has a strong start in life.
